Easter Sunday Sunrise Service
Please join us as we meet for worship at the Nancy Russell Lookout at Cape Horn at 7AM Easter Morning. We will gather together for singing, scripture reading and silent worship.
Since there are no facilities at the Lookout, please bring your own coffee and necessary items to keep yourselves warm. (It will be cold!) There will also be a short hike to the lookout out (3/4 of a mile). Please bring walking shoes. The trail is stroller accessible.
You are also welcome to join us at 10am for a light breakfast of coffee and other treats just before our regularly scheduled meeting for worship at 10:45am.
DIRECTIONS:
Travel east on Hwy 14. At the Pendleton Mill, begin marking your mileage. From the mill, travel east 6.9 miles. Here you will see a sign that says Belle Center Rd. Travel past the sign 1/10 of a mile and turn left. (This is just past a recent road cut construction). Drive on Belle Center Rd 1.4 miles, then turn right on Mt Pleasant Rd. After 1/3 mile, bare right onto Strunk Rd. This road will end after 1/2 mile at the lookout parking area. The trail starts here and from there it will be a 3/4 of a mile hike to the lookout point.

Do you really want to be drinking coffee that far from a restroom? Would hot cocoa be a better beverage for this location? If it is a wet morning, maybe something dry to sit on, like a piece of plastic, might come in handy.
