This week we are going to have a really lively Sunday filled with lots of ways to worship, connect and spend time together.
As you know the Quaker Pilgrims are going to be here worshipping with us, and then we’ll all have a BBQ potluck afterwards. Bring something to grill if you want and a side/dessert/drinks or whatever you fancy and bring a little extra if you can.
Afterwards we’re planning to go to the Sandy Swimming hole and hang out there. This is a church-wide event so please join us.
And besides all this we have a guest coming to share with us. Darla Samuelson is the pastor of Riversway Community in Beaverton (many of you have already met Jason Minnix who was previously co-pastor with her) and she is also a newly recorded minister in our Yearly Meeting!
She is going to talking to us about the Quaker testimony of mutuality.
The Text: . Galatians 3:28
“There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
- Abundance – How do we live our lives as if there are abundant amounts of resources? What does it look like?
- Scarcity – How do we live our lives as if there are scarce/limited amounts of resources? What does that look like?
- Mutuality – How does our focus on abundance and/or scarcity affect our ability to see similarities and live in mutuality? What does it look like to live in mutuality?
I look forward to worshipping with all of you on Sunday.
In the Light of Christ,
