A Quaker Meeting in Camas, WA
We are finishing up our membership course this evening. This is the first time I’ve taken a group through the process and it’s been a lot of fun. For this last part I wanted to create a document of some of the important Quaker organizations in the world. I know there are more but these seem to be the ones that I hear referenced most often. If there are others that need to be on here feel free to let us know (and tell us why!). Feel free to share this around, download, etc.
Northwest Yearly Meeting – http://nwfriends.org/
We are the men, women, and children of sixty-seven churches in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington who join together to worship God, to serve Jesus Christ both personally and through outreach ministries, and to pray that, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we will impact society with love in action. As a denomination, the Friends Church, often called Quakers, are historically seekers of God’s will.
