Guest Speaker: Elaine King

Our guest speaker this past Sunday was Elaine King. Elaine became a Quaker after attending George Fox University. She served in NWYM from 1984 until 1997, at Whitney Friends in Boise, Olympic View Friends in Tacoma, and Hillsboro Friends.

She currently attends RiversWay Friends in Tigard, and has been on the leadership team there for twelve years. During the past year she’s been serving as co-author.

Elaine spoke on the theme of “Letting Go”. More specifically, “Letting go of outcomes. Letting go of our need to control and trying to negotiate with God.”
