Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. This year’s gathering is Wednesday, November 22 at 7pm and will be hosted by Congregation Kol Ami (7800 NW 19th Street, Vancouver, WA 98662). Doors open at 6:45pm. Light reception to follow.
Project Holiday Hope. CFC will be participating in Project Holiday Hope this Christmas season. This project is designed to bring Christmas cheer to local families facing the challenges of mental illness, among other obstacles. To participate, come by the meetinghouse to get a gift tag off of the table-top Christmas tree and then purchase the gift described (tag clarifies age of recipient). Please bring your gifts to the meetinghouse by December 10th. Contact the CFC office if you have any questions.
Volunteering at the WHO. Camas Friends signs up for two weekends a season. Our first week-end (Friday evening/Sat. morning & Saturday evening/Sun. morning) is Dec. 1-2. Please consider signing up for either an evening, overnight, or morning shift (or multiple shifts). If you can’t volunteer (although volunteering meets the greatest need), you can contribute snacks: fresh fruit and vegetables, drinks, chips, cookies, etc. are always acceptable. Homemade baked goods are also welcome. Keep in mind that snacks are for all of the guests and hosts to consume. Coffee is another item: each group is encouraged to bring one large can of regular and one can of decaf coffee. Tea, hot chocolate and cider could be supplied. To sign up, please contact Kendra at office@camasfriends.org.
Christmas Potluck. The Hospitality team will provide the ham, you bring a side dish or dessert. Potluck will be in the Fireside Room immediately following worship on Sunday, December 10. Please join us!
Children’s Christmas Program. Please join us for worship led by our children on December 17th at our usual start time, 10:45.
Christmas Eve Service. In addition to our regular morning meeting for worship on December 24th (10:45am), we will have a Candlelight service that same evening at 6pm.
