The Camas Friends Church Book Discussion Group (which we often refer to as “Fresh Bread”) meets Wednesdays from 7:00pm to 8:15pm (in the pastor’s office).
Starting Wednesday, May 8th, we will be discussing Barbara Brown Taylor’s newest book: Holy Envy: Finding God in the Faith of Others. In this book, “New York times bestselling author Barbara Brown Taylor tackles the questions, worries, and concerns that arise when we encounter ‘difference’ and ‘others.’ This is not a primer on religions; instead, she explores what is opened and what is revealed when we accept the invitation to investigate all the wonder before us. Here we learn not only that God’s preferred language is driven by curiosity and specializes in questions, but we also discover the spiritual riches God can teach us from the faith of others” (From the book jacket).

These Wednesday evening gatherings are a connective time to engage books and one another on various spiritual topics. The goal of our time is to support one another as we each grow in our experience and concrete expression of God’s Love.
