On Islam (Guest Speaker: Dr. Khalid Kahn)

Our guest speaker today was Dr. Khalid Kahn, Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Portland, founding member of the Islamic Society of Greater Portland (ISGP), and a Trustee of the Islamic Society of SW Washington (ISSWW). He has also volunteered his time and energy for the past four decades in intra-faith, inter-faith and inter-cultural activities in Portland-Vancouver area.

The Qur’an 49:13
“O mankind! We created you from a single pair of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you might get to know one another. Surely the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is he who is most righteous. Allah is All-Knowledgeable, All-Aware.”
