If you or someone you know could use a couple loads of laundry washed and dried we’d love to take care of the cost for you.
We have expanded Laundry Love to EVERY Thursday. Laundry Love is hosted at All-Star Laundromat (321 NE Lechner St) from 6pm-8pm.
A few reminders about Laundry Love protocol, many of which have changed in light of the pandemic:
- Hosts from Camas Friends Church will be distributing quarters outside the Laundromat. Please check in with the host (look for the Laundry Love sign and person with a clipboard).
- The host will write down your first name and give you one roll of quarters. Our new policy (as of 10/8/20) is that we will give each a guest of maximum of $10. This should adequately cover the costs of both washing and drying for up to five loads of laundry (ex: one “Maxi [five] load” or one “triple load” plus one “double load”). Since we are hosting every week, it is important that this $10 maximum is honored to ensure that we can sustain the practice of every-week Laundry Love.
- Guests must wear masks while in the laundromat at all times, in accordance with state law. If you forgot your mask, we will provide you with one. Guests should socially distance from each other and minimize the time they actually spend in the laundromat.
- There will typically be a box of food from the Camas Friends food pantry (which you can also visit on Sundays and Wednesdays from 12:30pm to 3pm). Please take these items!
All are welcome to use this service. Please stop by! Or spread the word!
