Resilience and Hope

This Sunday, folks from our meeting shared prepared and spontaneous messages of resilience and hope, in observation of World Quaker Day. This is Matt’s introduction and closing prayer (congregational vocal messages omitted, for the sake of privacy)…

Who is someone—whether Quaker-identifying or Quaker “in spirit,” past or present, famous or relative unknown, someone else or even you!—who has demonstrated resilience and/or hope amid something difficult?

What were they facing and how did they persist/overcome/survive/thrive?

How, if you know, did they find the power to be resilient and hopeful?

What good resulted from their resilience and hope?

Tell us their story—or yours!
