How are indigenous voices of today similar to Jesus’ voice? What is Camas Friends’ obligation to indigenous people for the unceded land we worship on? What steps might we take to begin to build relationships with indigenous people so we can learn from them and share in building a more just world? What does our relationship to the land where we worship each week look like? How would it be different if we were becoming indigenous?

How have I encountered light and love and truth and goodness and beauty in a faith tradition that wasn't my own? When have I found an unexpected ally? When have I discovered someone who seems to be engaged in the same holy struggle as me, despite noticeable differences between us? What do the children in our lives need from me, from us?

If you were to make a list about a praiseworthy woman, what would you include? What would you leave out? Many women feel pressure to do everything for everyone, like the woman in this text. How can churches encourage self-care and community care? How do women reflect the glory of God?

What is God inviting me to do with my mouth this morning What is God showing me about what is in my heart? When has being silent served me or others well? When has speaking out served me or others well?

Say to those who are of a fearful heart, “Be strong, do not fear! Here is your God. He will come with vengeance, with terrible recompense. He will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the speechless sing for joy.
